Iran :

Seen it all, from a US-ally to an enemy nationIt has become widely perceived phenomenon that George Bush doesn’t like growth in Middle East to make US currency strongest in the world. After Iraq, Iran is said to be the next target (if we believe some news reports). One can imagine how Iranians would react if they see any American living in their own country.

Yes… I am feeling the same what u can feel while sitting in any other part of the world. I am the US citizen and living in Iran since some 40 years from now. I have seen how this country has transformed itself from a US-ally to an enemy nation for the US administration.

I was married to a businessman in Iran and moved to Tehran in late 50s. The situation changed dramatically when Iran entered into the deprivations of its 8-year war with Iraq just after Islamic revolution of 1979. We faced major financial crisis and other critical situation during this period.

Earlier in 50s and 60s, we were respectable foreigners in the country but suddenly people’s attitude changed towards us. It was the time when Iran was changing itself from a US-allied monarchy to the Islamic country. Later, the Islamic state called United States as the ‘Great Satan.

Now, I live alone in my simple brick home and darkness of the nights is my friends and kin. I am absolutely not in favor of US policy applied to the countries in Middle East. If US go ‘strike’ route to Iran to stop the nuclear program in the country, it will prove as another disaster for US administration for sure.

It will be another disaster-like situation for the whole region and it will have its impact on rest of the world for sure. I am an American and I suggest US administration not to go this way, otherwise they will have no way to go back.

Several of my relatives cry for me and ask why am I still living in Iran, an enemy country? Some of them called me crazy for my decision but I have no regrets about living in Iran and I would not leave the country willingly or unwillingly. I have no feeling now that I am still an American. I have made a group of friends here who support me in my bad days. I don’t want to go to US to live alone like hell.

I can easily recall even with my open eyes how an Iraqi missile engine crashed through the roof of my house in the capital during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war. It had exploded nearby area where I was living during those days.

Bombs were coming down like hell all over the area. Her family members became victim of anti-Americanism in Iran, several relatives fled from Iran, and several Americans were said to be executed. We spent many days without food and sold jewelry to survive in such condition. I lived two lives at one time during those days.

Now, the US policy towards Iran is making condition for me and other people like me worse. I have a message for the US administration: live and let others live in peace and harmony. It will be better for the whole humanity.

International policies of successive governments in the United States are the main reasons behind the international conflicts across the globe. The changing face of US interests in different regions made several friends first foes later. Afghanistan, Pakistan (one can say), Iraq, Iran are some of the burning examples of failed US international politics. The US lady living in Iran revealed how the attitude of people living in rest of the world is being changed towards US. Afrooz said all in just one sentence -”I have a message for the US administration: live and let others live in peace and harmony. It will be better for the whole humanity.”

A recent report disclosed the other 'Satan' face of Bush. He and his top officials have issued hundreds of false statements till the date about the threat posed by Iraq after WTC attack. The study conducted by the Center for Public Integrity revealed about 935 false statements were made by top administration officials in their speeches, press briefings, interviews and in formal speeches. What else one should know about George 'Moron' Bush.

Here is another bad news for George Bush..President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is going to be the first Iranian leader after the Islamic revolution who would visit Iraq. Iraqi foreign officials has confirmed the report. 'Foe's foe is friend' - the theory is working here and it is absolutely not a good news for the US administration.

Moving Petraeus out of Iraq at this point of time before US presidential election won't be a good idea. Petraeus has maintained excellent working relationship with other US officials and his Iraqi counterparts

yeah just go ahead and bomb a country because there are provisional evidences that it’s secretly pursuing the nuclear enrichment and instead of trying to talk diplomatically with their government, if US will go bombing the nations in that way I am sure, the entire world would be bombed. But, the irony is I didn’t see anyone stopping US drop the bomb twice, and the case is no more different here even great isn’t it…cheers victory for the murderers.

Yes, just pull the panic leaver and push the world into another mess. The way US is spreading its tentacles in Mideast merely for the resources; this is gradually pushing the whole world in the mess that will perhaps burn the whole citadel. Not to the surprise of the all, the authoritative US is in cold blood and is putting everything off that is coming in its way. To strike Iran will be a blunder and the result will be not different from what it was in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan. These wicked machinations are turning the Islamic countries against it. So be ware US!

Bush and Cheney are conservatives. Is it????? they are as far from this world as anyone can get. Not the conservatives, but the eccentric would be the better word to describe their persona... idiots will be pretty close…lolzz yea say me what you’ll call them… they are spending money like drunken sailors on leave and on a quasi-Trotskyite crusade to spread "democracy" in the whole world. And more and more use of military power to ward it off . can you bring a copy of US Constitution and show me where there it is mentioned that it’s the duty of the President, the Congress, the military or any other institution "to spread democracy" in the world.

why after all the speculation to bomb Iran and to disturb the whole Mideast for no credible reason at all. Particularly when the so called intelligence group has been wrong on most issues since they predicted that Iran is pursuing the nuclear expertise. And even if it is so I want you all to answer a question is nuclear expertise is the monopoly of those a few numbered nations who have got it already and no one else can get it now. Why all are making a noise even when the IAEA experts are there to have an eye on the nuclear program???? Can you name it anything more than the war mongering?

what at the moment I remember is Sarkozy’s option to the world to choose between nuclear Iran and the world peace… and is well up to the mark Iran under the existing rule is a major source of tribulations in the Mideast, and it propagates Islam phobia by providing a major cash and equipment to terrorists... so the need of the hour is to stop it pursuing the nuclear technology and the situation like one in Pakistan will follow and that is the most worrisome factor for all for nuclear weapons can fall in the hands of the terrorists. After long negotiations Iran is not ready to halt its nuclear program…so there remain only one option in either of the two that Sarkozy gave…

Huh… those who speak of nuclear disarmament and are too eager to stop the proliferation of the nuclear technology have no right to speak about that. Because it’s only those who have violated it ever. The wolves are wearing sheep’s pullovers but can’t hide their true face.

yes people Iran is a threat to the world. You need to recon it people because it was not US but iran who started a war in the Mideast – in Afghanistan and in iraq thereafter. Isn’t it??? power flows from the barrel of the gun and US is the biggest gun… nah call it cannon and say US president as the god and whatever US president dictates goes goes and goes like the words of god. So, may be, 1 out of 100%, Iran is a threat to the world but the bigger threat is US and its propaganda.

Hey… you all pple blaming US for all the time for the wrongs going on in the Mideast or wherever in the world… this is surely the pathetic situation… whenever US avoids any action they blame it on US whenever we take action they again blame us… if you ppl can sort out the problems yourself why don’t do that. Lets come to the Mideast, was it serene before US went there in Iraq or has Hamas Fatah or Israeli-Palestine conflict or Iraq-Iran is not newly born… whatever wrong happens; blame is always on US and no one gives it the credit for good...so the Mideast is always in the conflicts and there is nothing new that US added to it.

Iranians are provoking a war in the Mideast. They did it so many times sometimes give warnings to put Israel off the map and this time they provoked the US ships in the Gulf. Was there really a need to do chase US ships that too at a sensitive time when latter is frowning on Iranians and is ready to attack it at any moment. That was a bad move by Iranians and if US warships would have started firing at the Iranian ships war would have commence. But thank God that didn’t happen! And we had a marginal escape to the bloodshed that is already flowing in plenty in the Mideast

world need to reckon the threat of US imperialism that is more dangerous than the terrorism is. And why worrying about Iran when US has created so many problems in the world rather than solving them they have manipulated them to suit its purpose without caring about the plights of the people i.e. Iraq where US has gone for oil and not to put saddam off. Iran hasn’t done anything similar or comparable up to now. So, I worry about the U.S., not about Iran.

Well this one here from US and it’s said on my part to say that US used the nuclear weapons Against Japan as our leaders do not promise not to use so-called preventive nuclear strikes; so we have lost the moral right and therefore are in no position whatsoever to call Iran a threat. Those who call US more a threat to the world are perhaps right because just look at America, my country is the with the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons with trigger in the hands of an extremely dangerous maniac… yes they are right for sure…

Who is responsible for the hostile situation faced by this US lady while living in Iran? National interest can't go beyond human interest at any cost. all political leaders should understand it in a straight manner otherwise it will be too late for all of us.

Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan are also equally responsible for their own situation because successive governments or rulers in these countries never shown any respect to the voices of their own people.

An American lady is crying while living in Iran and another American lady has such opinion about her own country - 'Those who call US more a threat to the world are perhaps right because just look at America, my country is the with the biggest stockpile of nuclear weapons with trigger in the hands of an extremely dangerous maniac'. Interesting isn't it?

OK fine everyone knows that the global warming is indisputably happening and human beings are the main cause of it but how can one predict or imagine that floods, droughts, hurricanes and earthquakes are happening because of global warming. Several research papers have showed that those scientists who claimed were distorting data to support the theory.

Iran was an US ally when Iran was a moderate country. The Shah was a moderate man. Khomeini changed all that. The Islamic Revolution was nothing but a mad rush by the people to surrender their freedom in front of a fundamentalist. The current generation of Iran doesn't hate the US as much as they hate their freedom being curtailed. We see frequent anti government protests and clashes in universities. Now their main objective is to see the destruction of Israel.

The mad dog Khomeini who fortunately died and his rabid cleric followers who are running the terror sponsoring state deserve world rebuke, isolation and merciless punishment.
